Great find in Whitehorse: Cider!

This is not my first blog. I’ve dabbled in writing about other things – travel, the Edmonton Oilers and cider.

I love a good cider – crisp, dry, and carbonated. I dislike ciders full of added sugars and colours (*cough*Magners*cough*). Unfortunately, in the Yukon, access to anything other than Growers or Strongbow is limited. However, I have to give credit to the Yukon Liquor Corporation, because last week I was surprised to find three different ciders in stock!

(I think they are probably all gone by now. Sorry!)

I’ve tried all three before. The bourbon barrel aged cider is definitely my style of cider – it reminds me my favourite cider – Sea Cider’s Rumrunner. I actually didn’t like Finn River’s Dry-Hopped cider last time I tried it. But I’m looking forward to giving it another try. I know I tried Reverend Nat’s Hallelujah Hopricot last time I was in Vancouver, but don’t remember what I thought.

Anyways, I’ve heard the YLC will keep bringing in small quantities of diverse products. Guess that means I just need to stop in every week to see what’s there!  Hope I can share some more exciting finds in the future!
