My husband is usually a fan of a good sandwich and soup. But because of his current work situation, he’s eating a lot of sandwiches and soup. So I was surprised when he was game to try The Deli and Yukon Meat and Sausage.
Now, this visit was in February when we were in the Yukon checking out where we would be living, so I really don’t remember what I ate, or what he ate.
What I do know, is that I picked up a frequent sandwich buyer card. That indicates I expected to eat another 8 sandwiches, working towards my free one. It’s safe to say, I liked it.
You get to pick your bread and meat and veggies… okay, that sounds like Subway. But without the “Subway Bread Smell” that you know and love.
I’ve been back once since that first visit, but it was just to pick up some Curry Saus. When we moved, we abandoned all our condiments in Ottawa. Our landlord here provided us with the usual ones (and way too many kinds of hot sauce) but there were some that we had to replace – like curry for my sausages. Also had to get a few at the Asian Central Store.
Anyways, they have some interesting ingredients as well as the sandwiches.
Likelihood of return visit: High. The proximity to Riverdale is a huge asset for me.
