Sorry about the terrible image. I didn’t want to take a photo of the guy working on the front deck, so the angle is pretty poor. But the sign tells the story: Donairs coming to Whitehorse.
Now, the bigger question is: Will these be Halifax-style donairs? Or will they do what you’d often find in Vancouver and serve them with Tzaziki?

In trying to find out more about Big Bear Donair, I stumbled upon a helpful guide to new restaurants in Whitehorse – liquor applications. Nothing exciting in there right now, a hotel pub and something called the Codfather Pub (which must be a fish and chips joint, right?). But it’s somewhere to check back on come spring. Don’t think we’ll see a lot of new restaurants emerge through the winter.
