My husband came back from work at camp with a bad cold and the last thing he wanted to do was cook dinner. I wasn’t much more interested after a long week at work.
Now that I’m part of the working world, I can’t get out for all those lunches I did in the first part of the blog. It makes it also harder to hit up the remaining food trucks.
I try not to judge a book by its cover, or a restaurant by its exterior.
If I did, there’d be plenty of fantastic hole-in-the-wall restaurants that I would miss and truck stop haunts which I would pass by.
I did it folks. I hit up the third Subway in the Canada Games Centre.

Now that I’m working full-time, it’s making life better for my income, but worse for time to check out restaurants.
I happened to be out of the office one day, so while I didn’t have time for a sit down lunch, I did have the time to check out a take-away style restaurant.
It’s taken a year but I feel like I now have a few friends in Whitehorse. And so I put out the call to see if anyone wanted to dine with me at the dozen (or so) restaurants still on my list.
