Now that I’m working full-time, it’s making life better for my income, but worse for time to check out restaurants.
I happened to be out of the office one day, so while I didn’t have time for a sit down lunch, I did have the time to check out a take-away style restaurant.
I gave you some warning before the seasonal Whitehorse food establishments (restaurants, markets, stores, food trucks) closed for the winter. So it only makes sense that you can start to salivate over what’s to come! (Now including Dawson City)
It’s taken a year but I feel like I now have a few friends in Whitehorse. And so I put out the call to see if anyone wanted to dine with me at the dozen (or so) restaurants still on my list.
I did it. I went to the second Tim Hortons. Only took me a year!
So I wrote about this place when it was opening soon but somehow forgot to actually write a post about it when it opened.
My bad! (Because I was definitely there in the first week!)
My last visit (and I believe only other visit) to Ricky’s was in Edmonton. It was just before we were starting the drive up to Whitehorse last March. We were staying with relatives who were big fans of Ricky’s. I think they had club cards or some frequent diner discount. Anyways, Ricky’s is their jam.
I can’t keep track of who owns what Japanese restaurant. I’ve tried to describe it in previous posts, but I just give up.
From now on, I’m just treating every new or renamed restaurant as its own post. Who cares what it was or is or will be.
